VSM Changes its Name to SwissMEM
October 1, 1999 -- Since the beginning of July 1999 the ASM and VSM associations of the Swiss mechanical and electrical engineering (MEM) industries have been enjoying even closer working links. We now have a shared main office and will be working under the Swissmem name as of 1 October 1999.
The mechanical and electrical engineering industries (MEM) are Switzerland's largest export sector and most important industrial employer.
A strong sector needs a strong partner -Swissmem. Swissmem is the service centre for mechanical and electrical engineering companies, opinion leader of these industries and reliable partner for employee representatives, the world of politics and the general public.
Our aim is to ensure that Switzerland is a globally competitive location for industry.
