Schneeberger will be showing a 5-Axis tool and cutter grinder under the
Fanuc160i Windows NT based CNC control. Quinto will also make its debut
at a full 3D tool grinding process modeler showing each grind cut and the
resulting tool form in full 3D.

During the Westec exhibition in Los Angeles, (Los Angeles Convention Center, March 18-21) Schneeberger will be exhibiting the NORMA 75 5-Axes CNC Tool and Cutter Grinder. The NORMA 75 offers a generous work envelope, Fanuc 160i PC (Windows NT) control with touch-screen programming, Quinto graphical software for a wide range of tools including straight, tapered, and ball nose end mills, lots of drill points, taps, staggered tooth cutters, shear angle tools, and more. Standard equipment includes a #D measuring probe, Fanuc hand wheel, variable speed water cooled spindle motor, high speed modem for support via the internet, coolant tank, wheel adapters, hydraulic tool clamping, programmable coolant valves, all for under $ 150,000—. Schneeberger will also introduce Quinto e-grinding, a complete 3D grinding simulation software for complete tool design and grinding simulation.
